RE: Tiny Long Lived Diesel Engine?

This doesn't sound feasible to me. You will need to mix up diesel fuel and make a field storage and transfer container that will prevent the volatile either from leaking out. Then you must come up...

RE: Quaker Flash

For sport models the recommended guideline is to reduce dihedral by 50% if ailerons are added.
Each aileron will be 1/4 of the wing chord and 1/4 of the wingspan. This is from the November, 1995...

RE: nose length?

You can do some chopping and the plane will still be OK. I built a Blitz from Aspect Aviation and it was wildly nose heavy. I moved the fuselage mounted servos behind the wing and even reconfigured...

RE: I build a transmitter to find lost planes in corn fields.

At the bottom of the Overview page click on the red text for Receivers, Transmitters, etc. They are not cheap.

Other devices can be found by doing a Google search for "model aircraft locators".

RE: Pulse Jet engine in airplane

I remember seeing a demonstration of a Dynajet in the high school auditorium in the 1950s. It could only run for 10 seconds when static. And the engine did turn bright orange. At the Willow Grove...

RE: Iron Sock Problems. How can you clean a dirty sock?

If I remember correctly the color in Monokote is contained within the adhesive layer. If you use Ultracote the iron cover will stay cleaner as the color is in the plastic film itself.

The male connectors belong on the motor leads. You never want the power source to end in (possibly live) bare terminals. If you are asking about the color relationships when connecting the motor,...

Tiny Type

What's up with shrinking the type used in posted messages? It used to be very easy to read and now it is all scrunched down. Is this some kind of economy measure?
