RE: Anti sway for FLM superduty....Anyone?

Blue Groove Concepts makes a nice set of sway bars. They fit my FLM LCG chassis no problem and they work as advertised.

RE: CEN piggyback shock's

Good luck with that...I'm pretty sure CEN doesn't sell assembled GST shocks separately, just the parts. That's why you only see them on Ebay, from trucks being parted out. And whatever "LHS cost" is...

RE: Pics of extended chassis

Here's a Fastlane Machine (FLM) extended chassis. For comparative purposes, when my Savage had stock TVPs, that stand you see there would barely touch the front and rear control arms at the same...

RE: New alloy shoes eaten in one sitting!

Looks like your shoes were rubbing against the front of the CB pretty badly to me. My suspicion would be that the CB wasn't shimmed far enough away from them, causing them to hang up.

RE: 1/2 offset

My ol' wagon? Good guess, but it's actually a '66 Buick Special wagon. It has a few things in common with my Savage...I have under $1500 in it, it has a 2-speed, and the wheels on it cost me around...

RE: 1/2 offset

Actually, heavy wheels do the opposite...they're harder for the springs/shocks to keep on the ground over bumps, due to the increased inertia. You won't have a problem though, they're not crazy heavy...

RE: 1/2 offset

I have Maximizers in 1/2" offset and I like them a lot...They're really strong, although they're a bit heavy.

Best way to protect the tank IMO...is to move it up front! [8D]

RE: Engine Roll Bar

LOL I guess it depends on whether you want to keep thrashing your cooling head/motor/motor plate/etc.

The Savage X head protector helps a lot, especially if you shim the back of it up a...

RE: looking for some 17mm tires

Huh? Big Joes are tires...they wont fit Maxx-sized tires or wheels. [&:]

I agree with binaryterror, you should buy unglued tires and them pick the wheels you want. That way, you'll have a LOT...

RE: do you have a really nice savage??

I really appreciate the kind offer! Honestly, if I get lights, they're going in the bumper so they can stay on the truck. If that works for you, lemme know! [8D]

That was PatrickBW who broke those parts...nobody else seems to have such problems. I have jumped, crashed and cartwheeled my Savage tons of times and never broke any suspension parts. Savages are...

RE: Engine runaway!!

I would still always, always run a return spring on the carb...I re-used my F4.6's spring on my LRP, even though I run a Spektrum with a built-in failsafe. If the throttle linkage comes...

RE: do you have a really nice savage??

So, what's happening here? You said you were picking three trucks for some "free" lights...who are they? If you changed your mind and are only "giving" away one set, you could at least let us...

I use a Raytek automotive-style with the laser dot, right out of my garage...works great.

RE: Savage XL vs LST2?

Your attempt to critique HPI's video is cute...yes, everyone knows that's a Savage X in the video, although my actual point is that it's a stock one. Do you actually have anything to contribute to...

RE: Savage XL. Yes or No?

The K4.6 pullstart WILL work, I just checked it out...The K5.9 and K4.6 use the same starting shaft (#15234) as well as the same rotostart backplate (#87127).

Sure dont, do you have any video of a stock LST2 doing something like that, especially taking the landings they show at the end of HPI's video? No offense meant at all, I'm being totally...
