RE: Silicone Exhaust Deflectors and 4 Strokes

If its a straight shot out of the cowl and you just need a short extension to keep fuel off plane, I have used a short piece of K & B brass tubing. It looks good and sizes are available to fit...

RE: Compare

I have used both in sport type airplanes and some scale, fairly even comparison, they are both good all around servos. You can use one 3001 and one 425 in dual elevator setup since they rotate in...

RE: Uproar I need help

I built the UR 60 last winter-you have to move the hatch that is on top to bottom of the fuse-no big deal. I ordered a GP generic canopy from Tower - I believe it is 12-13 inches long-if I recall...

RE: Dies with a hlf tank

Using a 4 oz tank on .15 and 6 oz tank on a .40 size engine, there should be no problem. Assuming you have no leaks or pin holes in the fuel tubing, then only culprit I can think of is that the...

RE: Balancing a Towerhobbies uproar

RE: Uproar 60

My Uproar 60 is powered with a ST G-90-its not overwhelming-don't see why the 1.20 would not work-except you may have a balance problem with heavier 4 stroke-you can always build a hatch back towards...

RE: Problem with ATX power supply

Andrew-guess I didn't read thru the article closely enough, it makes sense now, but didn't catch that PS needed to be powered up with charger and battery attached. I now understand the theory and...

RE: Problem with ATX power supply

Tried the power supply with charger and battery, but charger has to be powered up first to initiate the battery charge cycle, so PS is down for count. Only other possibility is-I only used one...

Problem with ATX power supply

I just conveted a 90W Gateway PS for a power supply-its set up for 12V and 5V outputs. Added a 10 ohm load across the 5 volt side for simulated load, fan comes on and I have 5V and 12V with no load...

RE: OS Max 44AX- needle valve or carb issue

Just a note for comparison-I have 2 46 AXs -I had to send one of them back for warranty work due to a leaking head, brown residue was accumulating around glow plug and gasket seal. ( I run 4% castor)...

RE: Super Tigre G90 Muffler

Glad you got the baffle out-same thing happened to me in flight-sudden rattling noise, thought something had come loose on plane, luckily I had read on RCU about the baffle coming loose, and figured...

RE: Super Tigre G90 Muffler

Both of my G90s did the same thing, thought something was coming apart in the air. Don't try to take the muffler apart. Instead, remove muffler from engine, Drill out the pop rivet that holds the...

RE: Motor suggestion for Twist 40

I have 2 Uproars, which is similiar to the Twist-one with a OS 46 FX and the other with a OS 46 AX-they both rock-unlimited vertical using an APC 11/5. I don't fly 3D, but the 4 stroke would give...
