RE: Seen one of these?

That engine is only worth what the market will bare. IMO he should have taken the $1450, the engine market is a little soft at the moment.

RE: OS61FSR or OS61SF ABC

It may have been a fast engine by 1970's standards, but certainly not today. I have a NIB one also, along with a few used ones in my stash, and a "new" marine version fsr that is about 30-35 yrs old.

RE: OS61FSR or OS61SF ABC

They are similar in power but the FSR is smoother running IMO and maybe a little lighter weight. Buy them both. They were both available in ringed or ABN configuration.

She is lucky to be alive. Having been a part of naval aviation since 1987, most of the prop strikes I have heard of have been lethal. Anyone who goes near a turning aircraft should be briefed on...

RE: Counterfeit Spektums ??

Futaba has a big problem with counterfeit heli gyros also. I would venture to say that most of the NEW gyros listed on ebay are fakes.

RE: OS fs 70 Surpass

Along with the heat, I would suggest using some isopropyl alcohol also to dissolve the gunk in the engine, this should free it up good. Some ebay sellers are a little fast and loose with the terms...
