No, It is inherent to lipo cells. There is nothing wrong with either your battery or how you are charging it, other than realizing that there is no reason to "top off" the charge.

Lipos that are near full charge, like above 80%-85%, may not respond to the charger and go to a full 100%. If it charges fully from 65%-70% then you have nothing to be worried about.

Unlikely it is the SBD itself. The SBD only allows you to set channels, all the other function are accomplished in the radio. Let me know how everything is assigned in the function menu.

No idea. You might ask PowerBox folks. Futaba only warranties that their equipment will work with Futaba products. Can't say how it will work with 3rd party equipment like a PowerBox.
