    Robbe FX32 is a Futaba 12FG FASSTest radio in a pizza box. Out for a while now so should be ready for a Futaba box. Flight conditions are a very powerful concept. 12FG does not have SPLINE curves.

    As I have stated previously, I have been waiting for a potless servo that worked well, a premium servo, since 1967. The F&M Titan Magnevac was supposed to be that. It had a coil with a ferrite core...

    Sid;

    It sounds like one of those dreaded intermittant connections since it goes to 0. Look at your connections first. If no luck, open the RX and look at the connection of the power/connector...

    The above comments are true of every 2048 radio made and not just Spektrum. When you reduce the throw you reduce the number of steps and the centering - through linkage stuff. My first servos were...

    Sid;

    I just plugged a batt. into one of my old G3's. It draws 41 milliamps.

    Try a different servo slot. Someone may have popped the bus with a mongo servo or short.

    Sid the most common reason for not being able to set the frequency in a G3 is the order of events. If you have the ID of the receiver and G3 set in the TX, you then go to frequency select screen and...

    The ProLine transmitter side of the charger had two separate 4.8 volt leads. The polarity on the Deans connector is the same as the servos except that the signal wire is the other +4.8 volts. ...

    2.4 Module

    The 9VHP uses the same module as the 9Z. The TM7/8 or any other aftermarket module should work fine.

    RE: PCM 512 to 2.4 convesion

    An Idea:

    Get a spare 512 receiver and take out the decoder board. Run the 512 modulation in the transmitter through the decoder and produce the PWM outputs. Putting the outputs into a PWM...

    RE: PCM 512 to 2.4 convesion

    You can gut a TM-8 module and convert it to FASST if you want. Requires some minor wiring expertise. Works through the trainer output. Probably not legal.

    RE: Good quality servo extensions

    Dave and Dick are the winners today. Aftermarket servo extensions AND connectors on regulators and such have crashed many planes. I have actually TESTED many at 3 AMPS. Futaba HD are about 3...
  15. RE: LIFE pack for onboard glow and receiver combined

    I have been using an expensive A123 pack and SwitchGlo this way for over a year. Works great. Easy starting and reliable idle. I will look at the HK $20 one. Be warned that the Gryphon auto...

    RE: LIFEPO4

    For universal use with old servos, you need to get a regulator. I only use linear regulators like the Fromeco Sahara. I tried switching BEC type regulators and if they fail, poof. Also switching...

    RE: Eneloop 2000 Mah testing

    AA Eneloop not good enough for a heli flight pack. Too bad they don't make an A or Sub C. I guess the toy market is not big enough. For cycling I use 500 mA charge and discharge. They get warm.
  18. RE: NiMh vs. LiFe batteries, is there really a weight savings?

    Unfortunately a switching regulator is only 60~80% efficient. Better than a linear but not great. The Futaba PS-10 switching reg. caused battery failsafe repeatedly (3.7 volts) AND reduced my...
  19. RE: Back after break from hobby. Tx are now 4.8 volts?

    Well actually 2.4GHz chips are 3 volt chips and we are happy with ~100 mW. The processor chips are apparently also 3 volt chips. 6.6~7.2 volts is the new normal for TX - LiFe or LiPo. Some use 4...

    RE: Futaba transmiter foam replacements

    I expect they want you to buy a new box every ten years or so. The hinges don't last much longer than the foam.

    RE: JR DMSS on Jets

    When PCM was first invented, it was a point of discussion whether 128 or 256 positions were needed since the current servos could only do about 128. I originally had wirewound pot linear servos...

    RE: 2.4 ghz interference: It can happen!

    Most companies jump by 1 MHz (1.023 MHz) because the chip they use does that. Chips are about $1. Making your own chip about $6M fixed cost.

    RE: 2.4 ghz interference: It can happen!

    You guys are all wet. There are no pre-defined frequencies in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. You can divide it up any way you want. This 80 channel misconception was initiated by Spektrum some 7 years ago....
