RE: How many here fly full-scale?

I have spent a lot of time in Idaho and it is a place I would live in a heartbeat if I could find a job. I love it a lot. However, Idaho is no place to be screwing around on the ground or in the...

I have been flying r/c for way, way too long. IIRC I started when I was 8-9, so that works out to about 26 years. Geez, I'm getting old. :-)

RE: cularis and thermaling

You need to set the brake on your ESC which will stop the prop and it will fold.

The Cularis will actually thermal just fine in light lift, as long as the speed is kept up. It is not a...

My dad bought one of the new ones and just flew it today. Actually said it did...

RE: Global Skylane 45-60 build

Did you happen to check the back of the wing plans? The fuse plans were printed on the reverse. I just picked up one of these NIB, looking forward to flying it.

RE: Dodson Windsong

If all you want to do is fly club TD contests just stick some servos in it and go fly. :) It was about 5 years ago a Lovesong won at Visalia.

The issue with the Windsong is the lack of a spar...

RE: Advice needed on excessive wiring.

You can do that, but it can be a bit of work to plug and unplug. A little more elegant solution is to plug the battery into an aileron extension, it takes up less room but is easier to connect.

RE: Airtronics Cumic -- Need building advice-- Alerons or not?

My father had a Cumic with ailerons, this is the way to go. The Cumic is a little faster than some of the other poly birds out there, the ailerons make it a lot easier to fly. It will still thermal...
