Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

Sorry, the radio is already gone. Like I said before, JR radios are much more likely to fail than other brands, mostly in part to filters and output transistors that dampen the signal and make it not...

Servo noise

I mean if the servo is pushing against anything, it can make that sound. check and see if anything would cause the servo to stop during its full range of travel.

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

I don't mean to offend, but good radios don't need a warranty.

Look: I still very much like JR products, and will continue to use them, except for radio or flight critical components. I still love...

Servo noise

Yes, I get the "gggguuuurrrrr" sound too. It is normal. Just make sure it isn't stalled or binding or otherwise you can get into big trouble.

Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

Yeah, I have nothing against JR, I just find that they don't work as well at our field as some other equipment, so therefore I switched. I still do like JR, but at the present time, I cannot use it....

Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

Really Chris? I fly over at the Rockford flying field on Harrison road. I'll invite you as a guest over, but if you want your plane back in one piece, make sure to leave that JR transmitter at home...

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

I am awaiting the Futaba 9C to come in, it wasn't in my channel. Danny, there are numerous engineers in the industry, not employed by JR, that can argue my point. However, rest assured that because...

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

Thank you, I really appreciate it. Although I have made the switch, I still believe that Horizon is the best company, by far, in the business. You have the best customer support and the nicest people...

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

I'm sorry, but I officially switched to Futaba. I just couldn't trust JR equipment; every JR radio I had has caused hits at our field. I took the advise of many experienced pilots and switched to...

Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

Well, as a matter of fact, I believe JR may be at fault. I talked to an electronics engineer that works in aerospace (not to mention the space shuttle) and he had made a point that JR equipment is...

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

Sorry about being mad or angry, that wasn't my intention. I would please like to stay up in the air and not be worried about my equipment, because I think JR is the best. When I start having a string...

Danny please help, have major interference problem at our field

I took the CAP up on Saturday, and in a certian spot of our field, it suddenly acted like it went over a speed bump and fell over. I got another hit on the turn to final, just a foot off the ground,...

Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

It's not just one person, we had 4 guys on JR yesterday, and all but one was taking hits.

Is there a reason why Futaba has bigger filters than JR?

If you compare the filter section of a JR Tx to a Futaba Tx, the Futaba has much bigger filters ( I believe the toroid filter) than a JR Tx. Does this relate to the fact that many JR Rx's are getting...

Ultrastick 120 Lite, love it or hate it?

Is this THE Mike Mcconville responding to this thread? WOW, I really like your input at Horizon. I love the 46% Ultimate, as well as your article on programming the FuntanaS in the Air Quarterly.

RF Interference

Then what could you use to absorb the bad RF you're getting from servos and their leads? JR recmmends those Totoid coils for just that purpose. They carry them on their website.

What other...

jr service

They have the best service of all the radio manufacturers, but they are a bit slow in my opinion. Futaba gear, regardless of the damage to be repaired, has a turnaround of less than 10 days.

JR...

Well, the information about the toroid coil was given to me by an electronics engineer who just so happens to work at a manufacturing plant, where you would see many parts to boeing 777's are made,...

RF Interference

I know what you need. JR calls em noise traps to soak up bad RF. Everyone else calls em torad coils. Call an electronic parts shop (radioshack no longer has them) and ask for torad coils (sounds like...

funtana snap or roll off

The snap roll tendency comes with the territory of almost all aerobatic planes. I learned that with my CAP, so be careful on the controls!!!!!
