  1. RE: Nitroplanes do the ever give out discounts

You can also google "Nitroplanes discount coupon code" or something like that. I did that when I bought my Diamond 2500 and saved $18. :)
  2. RE: Art-Tech Diamond 2500- initial impressions and question about CG.

Well, I flew it today, and it flew fantastic. It's my first foamie, my first electric plane, and my first glider. It's the largest plane I've ever flown, and is also the first hand launch plane...
  3. Art-Tech Diamond 2500- initial impressions and question about CG.

All right, so I ordered the kit as well as a spare battery and the Sky Charger B6AC battery charger on Friday evening and it arrived shortly after noon today. It was packaged well, and other than a...

    T8UAF reciever compatability?

I have a T8UAF on channel 33. It will work with a Futaba FP-R148DF reciever, but not a Futaba R168DF reciever. Is there a reason for this? Thanks!

RE: Scaling up a model to full size?

No man, I'm not talking about a 35' span RC plane... I mean scale them up so you can actually sit in them and fly them.

Scaling up a model to full size?

So we're all flying scale models of real airplanes around... has anyone thought about scaling up a model to be large enough to sit in and fly? Something like maybe a Rascal scaled up to a 35'...
  7. RE: Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

I'm not trouble shooting it anymore... I bought the damn thing BRAND NEW and I shouldn't have to do all this. If you bought a brand new car, how would you feel if you had to do an alignment and buy...
  8. RE: Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

Well, it flies a lot smoother now once I readjusted the tracking. However, it's still yawing to the right. So, off to the hobby shop with it tomorrow. It's brand new, has done it since day one,...
  9. RE: Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

All right... so I decided to forego sleep and take a closer look... the blades are all balanced perfectly per Solo's method, the upper disc tracking is spot on, the voltages are equal, the motor spin...
  10. RE: Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

Thanks for the tips! I haven't had a chance to play with it a whole lot; nine hours of work and then four hours of flight school, five days a week takes a toll... I'll have a chance this weekend...
  11. RE: Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

Hi Nick, the helicopter is new, and the guy at the LHS trimmed it for me before I walked out, however, upon flying it at home, it required quite a bit of trim in every direction. Something I forgot...
  12. Difficulty trimming for yaw with a CX2.

OK, so I'm not one to just go post on a board about a problem, as evidenced by my post per day count here, but this is just flat out driving me nuts...

I can't get the damn thing to trim out in...

RE: An Engineer's Point Of View....

I'm going to ramble all over the place, but pay attention.

Since you're new to RC, 85 KPH isn't that fast, as previously stated. From what I've read, an HPI 18SS will do that out of the box. ...
  15. Two really simple RS4 2 questions.

I have one of these things from about six years ago and recently became interested in it again. I have an old gold head CV12 Hyper in there, but it's seen better days, and I'm thinking about an .18...

    RE: 1/2A sized Giles G-202.

It's an OS FS-26, and I have HS65 servos in there. I have a 4 oz. tank, but may try a 2 oz. tank if it turns out to be too heavy with a full load of fuel (or just not fill the tank up all the way). ...

RE: Cedar Hobbies has a B-52 coming soon.

Considering that it would take a major redesign to "scale it out," I think I'd rather scratch build it. The gear and doors (at least how they're shown on that version, are as close enough to the...

What about scale gear doors, or at least something close to scale gear doors?

RE: Hey!! Crew, 30 day red alert!!
