the plans indicate that about 2degree right thrust for this kit but no mention of down thrust

is any down thrust need for this kit?\

yes considering the temps in space the unprotected glider would burn up as soon as it hits sunlight . . .that said if it were heat/cold protected . . .hummm a thought there +/- temps in the thousands...
