RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

RCBoosted,

I first created a virtual joystick in control panel and then go to the actual PPJOY software. Myversion is 0.82 and is thus older than yours. The on the actual joystick software I...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi there,

To sum all of this up in short, it would mean not going for hotter motors while you are learning to fly, but that only holds if you got the 36 turn motor and not the 70 turn motor. By...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi jlines,

How high do you hover? If you try to hover in ground effect it will always yaw and slide to the left. Try and hovering it at about 3-4 feet from the ground and it will be much more...

RE: Walkera 76C

Hi there,

I have seen it first hand yesterday and looks very cool. Just a word of caution there is also a 76B which has the cyclic collective pitch already fitted with a 7 channel radio. I do...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi guys,

I have a pair of blades that has some chunks out of the blades, but at more or less the same places, so I thought I might try the cord clipping. As I understand it right, the chord...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi scorp27,

Generally, you would not need fuses with a 7.4V lipo, but any motor causing a short or for some other reason drawing too much current can blow your 4-in-1. It depends on what motor...

RE: buying first helicopter?

HI there,

There is also a new guy on the block namely the Walkera 76C. It is basically a newly designed DF4 but much more robust by the looks of it. It can apparently be upgraded to have...

Walkera 76C

Hi there,

Well, I do not have a 76C yet, but would like to talk to people that have one. I have the DF4, but what I see from the 76C it is a much more robust design, and a definite replacement...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Orion,

Sounds like you have major bearing problems on your motor, or the motor shaft is bent. The reason the temp is down with the mesh been very loose is that you do not have so much friction....

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

RcBoosted,

Get an old computer power supply and mod it to work with your charger. It has plenty of current and is dirt cheap, just a bit of soldering needs to be done. Here is a good link to the...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Hi soneebee,

Maybe a long shot in the dark, but is your blades fitted very tight? I have the same wobble with my heli when I start it up and the blades is not in line but after the centrifugal...

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

Hi guys,

I just want to know if your tail servo sits on the tailboom or in front because my servo sits in front and sort of restricts the battery compartment a bit. So my question would rather...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Orion,

I know exactly how you feel. I also had two stock motors, deans connectors, different main blades, checked the spacing on the gears, two 4-in-1's and nothing worked until the 11.1V Lipo....

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi there,

Another way to test the motor windings and maybe the best way is to measure the current through the motor while connecting the stock battery straight to the motor. The one with the...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Hi Orion and other guys,

I think this time we got to the bottom of the DF4 lifting problems. THroughout the whole thread everybody is talking about being lucky with a motor or not. It seems like...

Sounds like a slightly bend feather or main shaft. Check also your swashplate bearings.

RE: Walkera Dragonfly #36

HI orion,

Did you check that your GYRO sensitivity is not set too high? The most likely cause of tail wagging appears to be that the sensitivity of the gyro is set too high and then the gyro...
