Go with the LX2e. I would also recomend the it version then pick up the 150a hobbywing combo mentioned above. you will be good to go. I am finding the hobbywing ESC to be more reliable than Castle....

    RE: Nitro vs Electric

there is probablly a point on a track where too much power would be a deterant. I'm not a racer so I don't know where that point would be. Electrics though would benifit from more wieght. I bet if...

    RE: Nitro vs Electric

These threads are pointless. Both nitro and electric have their place. Some people still run nitro and have alot of fun with it and other preffer electric. Just leave it at that. It is all about...

ThanksI am looking to find a 1/10 427 Cobra S/C body that would fit an electric touring car. I have done some searching with no luck so far and thought I would see if anyone here had any ideas for...

They are unsupported here locally, but finding part online is easy. Even for the MBX5. But these Mugens are tanks and you won't need to order many parts anyway!

    RE: My new buggy!

Nice buggy! The 8ights are nice. If you run 20% in everything else it would make sense to just run 20% in this one too just for simplicity. But running 30% won't hurt it at all. You don't need to...

RE: What are some must have rc's.

Yeah... Not really. Traxxas wishes it was kind of like a truggy. It has way too many moving parts to be as reliable as a truggy. And where is the tunability of a center diff? Oh wait... It doesn't...
  10. RE: Back in the hobby. I want a good BL Truggy.

That's a great deal for that truggy! Even if you deicide to only run 4s I would still recommend upgrading to a 150 amp ESC or 120 amp at a minimum. I believe you will be pressing your luck with that...

RE: rc trucks sitting for years

If the engines turn over and still have compression they will run. As was stated get new glow plugs. 5 year old fuel may still work just fine but I would pick up some fresh fuel for the first...

RE: What are some must have rc's.

Back to the OP's original question on must have RCs.

    1/8 buggy
    1/8 truggy
    1/8 GT car

Take your pick when it comes to brand (notice Traxxas doesn't sell any of these!) but these three...
  13. RE: Back in the hobby. I want a good BL Truggy.

I think The ST4 is a great option. Its not low end quality either. I really haven't heard anything neative about anything Thunder Tiger makes/sells. I had a ST1 which is the their nitro truggy and...
  14. RE: Back in the hobby. I want a good BL Truggy.

I think this guy would preffer you to get into a cheaper hobby because you can't afford this one:eek:

Of course its going to be expensive. thats why I asked what the OP's price range was....
  15. RE: Back in the hobby. I want a good BL Truggy.

There are lots of very good truggy kits available but very few of them are brushless. But you can get conversion kits for themfor a brushless swap. This is probably the way to go for what you want....

    RE: truggy tires

Make sure the wheels you are using have 17mm hubs. Many MT wheels only have 14mm hubs so they won't fit.

if you like the wing and dish wheels " like a truggy", why not take a look at buying a truggy? IMO that is really the only option!

  22. RE: West Coast Customs Monster Energy 69 Camaro LE

If its so rare why would you "build it up"? Just leave it stock and put it on a self. Anything rare is worth more if it is "unmolested". Also a BOSS 302 was a Mustang not a Camaro. I'm not sure why...
