RE: breaking battery connectors

I had a battery connector break off after a crash and when I picked it up the wires shorted and smoked. Lucky I didn't have the battery catch fire. I waited about a half an hour before taking the...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Keep the battery from sliding with a strip of velcro on both the battery and bottom of the battery tray.

Sometime ago I posted the bench test for amps with stock propeller and 10x7x3 3 blade. As...

RE: UM T-28 motor cutting out :(

if it is cold, most likely the batteries. Lipos lose a lot of their capacity as it gets colder.

RE: Survey: Micro Motor Endurance

It seems the motors vary in quality. Some last a dozen or so flight before squeeling and or drawing too much power. Others last a long time (over a year.) It is just the luck of the draw when you...

RE: Charging Question

A good way to charge is what is called a "1c" rate. A 2000mah battery is 2amps (divide milliamps by 1,000 to get amps). Charge a battery at the rated amps - in this case set your charger for a 2 amp...

RE: PZ Corsair battery

I've put a 2250mah in the T-28. Make sure you check the CG with a bigger battery and slide the battery forward or back as necessary.

RE: What should I get for a second plane?

of the Um micros by Parkzone, I would really recommend the UMT-28 over the UMP-51 for a second plane. I just flew both tonight, the P-51 might be a bit more of a handful. Either in the BNF version...

RE: Electric Hellcat or Bearcat

Many people like the parkzone wildcat, but no retracts. I don't have one, but the similar T-28 I own is a great flyer. (Some have put retracts on the T-28).

I saw a mod that turned a T-28 into...

RE: Flaperons with T28D trojan and Specktrum DX7 instructions...

I programmed spoilerons into the T-28 (opposite of Flaperons, the ailerons both move "up" which spoils lift and causes it to sink.) Never had a tip stall problem, and helps to get steeper glide paths.

RE: How to do major UM t-28 repair

I've used tacky glue with much success mounting electronics and motors to these foam planes. It does take over night to dry, but it is cheap and easily available at any craft section of a discount...

RE: Micro T-28 BNF issues

Check the control linkages. They maybe out of adjustment or sticking. There is a little "u" loop on each linkage that allows you to adjust them. Pinch the "U" to shorten the linkage, spread the "U"...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I switched to the 10x7x3 prop and love it. Slower, but more power. I had a slight balance issue, but nothing severe. Never had any problems with this prop, even though the tips are a bit worn from...

RE: Failsafe?

Don't know about RC airplanes. In RC cars, a failsafe zeros the throttle if the car goes out of radio ranges. Stops run away cars when there is loss of radio contact.

RE: looking for a good starter

After 4 years in RC cars I bought a Supercub. Great starter aircraft. After I had that down, moved to a T-28 as my first aileron. T-28 might be a bit of a handful to start.

RE: Nano-tech 160 batteries

I got a bunch in on Christmas Eve. I tested two on the bench using a Watts up and a stock micro P-51. They produced the full 1.6 amps the motor pulls at full speed.

Probably won't be able to...

RE: parkzones new ultra micro t-28

I recently added a Wattsup meter to my tool box. For those that are interested, here is the bench results of the stock UM T-28

5.7w
1.6 amp peak

I was using a Commonsenserc 150mah...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Just got a watts up and measured the stock motor using two props:
10x7x3 prop - 225 watts
stock - 200 watts

Maximum amp pull was just over 20 amps.

I used a Turnigy 2200mah 20c battery.

RE: UM T-28 Flight Time ?

With 150mah I realistically get about 4-6 minutes of zooming and acrobatics. Nice slow passes at half throttle might get me more. With my Eflite 500mah batt slung underneath, I get 25 minutes - I'm...

RE: Mini P-51D from Horizon/Parkzone

I have never checked my P-51, but my new T-28 needed this adjustment. At first I thought the connection with the bell crank was looped like you indicated. Upon closer examination, it is simply two...

RE: parkzones new ultra micro t-28

You will like that big battery. I only fly with it now. I was getting 4-6 minute flights with the small ones, get 20 plus minutes with this one. I plan to buy another and use my small batts with my...
