I am a huge fan of this plane.. Still think that is the nicest shape you can find in a jet, and yours probably has the coolest paint scheme too. Congrats!

A few shots of mine which is ready to go, along with 2 shots of the full size version. Im running a KT K170, Cockpit SRS, Hitech Servos all round, 1.2kg of weight added to the nose for balance. Just under 15.6kg in weight dry.

I really wish skymaster makes a BIG "C" F-18 version like the Y/A twin. I really don't like looks of the "E" or the "F" version.

Thanks. I think that agrees with the website I found. ( my concern was whether it was showing the C or F model since the pics are of a C but the website title says F).

http://www.skymasterjet.com/arf18.htm

BTW, you must have awesome power with the KT170. Did you dial it down at all?

Just down to 120,ooo rpm, 3k under. There are quite a few of this model flying with the K170. Test flight should be in the next few weeks. Will be sticking a video on utube and linking it. ALthough you will have to put up with the maidens of both a Pitts S1s and S12 on the same link.

I just noticed they finally put up photos of the planes on their website. Lots of choices! Lots of $$$, I bet. 1/6 scale so I bet it's big

Just rejoined at Gouburn, NSW, junglejet after moving back from QLD. Waiting for my new MAAA card to turn up, it isnt the closest field 1hr drive. The local one wont allow anything noisier than a swallows fart.

Hi Iain

let me know how your maiden goes. I have one here with the CG at 145, not yet flown but the same as the one it replaces.

Will do Pete, this Sunday depending on weather. I actually prefer a slightly rearward COG, and will probably end up moving it back. Im going to recheck everything Saturday as it is. How did you find it flew with the COG there.

Built for a mate, not yet flown but his previous C version was on the money at 145, same as another one over this way. Both guys happy with that set up. I fly the Fv and 1/8 F16, seems Skymaster like forward CG's. You going to Belconnen?
