Retraction of I gyro offer at Top Gun
Looks like someone took offence to me posting that I would be at Top Gun and offering assistance in setting up I gyro's. They requested that my thread be removed.
I am pretty sure I can figure out where this complaint came from. So based on that. I apologise for any offence this thread may have caused. I am retracting my offer to assist help set up gyros for people. I hope this satisfies the complainant ? Those that have purchased any I gyro product from any other source. Please go to that source and ask them for assistance.
I will still be attending Top Gun.
Regards Ali

Ahh, the spirit of modelling hard at work to help everyone out, got to love it!
Did someone's delicate ego get bruised or did you stand between someone and a dollar?
Is that some room between the lines of your post I can see?
I'm going to TG, would be good to see you compete.
John.

Unbelievable! Well in today's PC world, people think if they are offended, they have a "right" to be compensated in some fashion so they get their way like a petulant child. Usually a proper word or two telling them where to stick their whining will make them go away.

the mods should of told them to take a run and jump, not do as they asked. that is about as low as you can go after someone had offered free help. if they had a spine they would id them selves not hide like the cowards they are.

I thought these "policies" were done and over with. I had a small online store a few years ago, sold batteries and motors to mostly pattern guys. I was an advertiser on RCU and happened to mention in some thread of something I had in stock... post was promptly removed and I was "warned". Somebody else ratted me out and the enforcers had to come in. Though I was an advertiser, I wasn't the right type... whatever. Anyway, you can see examples of people announcing sales at their business', stock status, etc on many many threads here on RCU and they aren't coming from advertisers, so I thought the rules had been relaxed and become a little more practical.
The mods are just enforcing the rules as they have been set, I get that, but the "rats" need to take a step back and relax and look at the big picture. These are definitely first world problems.

The only scenario that I can imagine is that the companies who are paying a fee to sell in Top Gun don't want a competitor selling that did not paid the same fee. That assumes that FT is charging for the right to sell in TG, and that Ali was going to sell the gyros without paying the fee.

I agree but the mods are ruled by the advertisers on this site. The complainant want to remain anonymous as he or she is afraid that those who read this would vote with their feet if people knew. Dog in a manger syndrome, shows them in their true colours.

Seems to me that the rules need to be changed. The mods need to relax. The pc crap needs to go or just ignored. Free help is, or should be, just that, free. If someone buys something from that someone, and after the sale that someone offers to help with the something, then there should be absolutely no objection to that from anyone for any reason. It was prolly hillary while she was dodging sniper fire in order to stay alive to buy more cattle futures, uranium mines, and a totally new server!!! just say'n……...
