Any one have experience with the DLE 20 RA ? What weight plane will it fly at least somewhat aerobatic?
The plane I have is the ME 109 It weighs 11 to 12 lbs complete with the engine. Thanks in advance.

I have one on a 75 inch span P51 that weighs 15 lbs. Flys it good enough. 16 8 or 16 10 prop about 7500 rpm. 3 blade master airscrew 16 8 turned 6500. 3 blade 15 7 @7800+. Also flew this plane with glow Moki 1.5 answer os 160.

Also make sure there's adaquate cooling. Gas engines run hotter than glow. Here's a picture without the cowl on. Use a tach. I put one in the cockpit that plugs directly into the ignition.

Target for unlimited vertical will be about 10 to maybe 10.5 lbs tops. Good sport performance beyond that will depend on your expectations.

3D would top around 8 pounds. Good verticle sport flying would be around 10 maybe 11 pounds. Above that consider warbirds.
