Question?
I was hoping someone knew of a 1/16 Opel Blitz for sale.... Asiatam has one.. but I am not too excited about shelling out 300 plus US to get one...and that is without the RC guts etc ...
You can add another $200 plus for that.
It does not necessarily need to be a fully functioning RC vehicle... I'll consider what ever s available as I can always add to it later... and finally, I need to be cost conscious because I am aware of the
much anticipated upcoming 1/16 Ludwig Matilda and M-48... so something like an Opel Blitz... needs to be more affordable... (btw I want to mount the Verlinden 1/16 37mm Flak 43 onto the back of it)
Maybe someone knows of someone wanting to sell one?... Chris (Ludwig) made one in the past so there might be one of those floating around.
Any help in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Joe

I know Eddy just sold his, maybe he knows of other Opel owners that are about to sell theirs? It's worth a try.

If it doesn't have to be an exact Opel, you can look at the Highway 61 die cast stuff. Lots of people have converted these to do exaxtly that, put a flak in the back.

Wow.. that looks interesting... BennyB.. do you know what needs to be modded to make it a WWII era Opel Blitz?... do you have any pix of one already completed?. Thank you in advance and I look forward to your response..Joe

Most people don't really mod to look exactly like an opel. Mainly just the right era. Take the rear bed off, build up a platform and your there. There were a couple on the Danville battlefield as static displays, I'll see if I have a pic or 2.

So here are Mike's. He had them on the Danville battlefield but are now back at his home. Look at post #10 on this older thread.

Hi guys.. I looked at the die-cast trucks and the sample of the finished one... I even got more reasonable price through (well you know who you are) and after all of that I contacted Asiatam and purchased the Profiline Panther D Hull and details..
I will, instead of a Opel Blitz, build a Flak Bergpanther... I already have the rest..... so thanks all... sometimes these decisions get messy.. Thanks... : )
