SJ3000 rpm flips and flameout.
Dear all
I just had a flameout at landing approach and it seems my simjet3000 has an unstable rpm reading at low rpm. Faded is XICOY AU605. 2Sx2200 LiPO.
At start up sequence (after flip'ing the stick)
Everything looks fine, but during Glowtest, the rpm says 64.400 rpm(!!)
During cool down the rpm ramps nicely down and around 700 rpm it flips to 1700 rpm and ramps down from that level!
Does that call for a degaussing of sensors? And how is that done, please?

Hi again
I think I found the reason: the hall-board was a little wet from fuel, and cleaning it up helped with the rpm during Glowtest. Still it flips during spooling down. Looking at my photos, wouldn't you say the sensor is too far from the compressor wheel? (Don't ask me why it only has a single screw; I just got it secondhand and very cheap )
