Sonic 120 SP
What is the ideal gap or overlap from the end of the exhaust cone to the front of the tailpipe bellmouth for a Sonic 120SP? Also, is there any problem with mounting the engine inverted with the glow plug facing down? Thanks. Terry Harcharik

RE: Sonic 120 SP
Hi Terry,
Running with the plug at 6 o'clock is not a problem. I've not done any testing of gap distance from exhaust cone to bellmouth to be able to give you an ideal distance. (I believe that it should be gap instead of overlap though.)

Hi Terry
Just talked to Duke. He's running a 1700SP in his Gripen and he advises a 20mm( ~3/4" ) gap between the exit of the engine nozzle and the inlet of the exhaust pipe. He is also running his 1700SP upside down with the plug about 15 degrees off to one side.
