Simjet 85 starter pod
 

Hi Guy's, I have an old but good Simjet 85 (19lb thrust) that was originally started by air/starter wand. My turbine has a starter wand but can be rather a pain to use, my Simjet 3000 has a proper starter as do quite a lot of other Simjet models.

I am considering trying to buy an old knackered Simjet turbine that has the starter pod on the front, and swapping the complete end casing for mine, thereby giving me an in-built starter, which I can attach a micro switch and battery to, to spin it over easier.

What do you guys think, will my idea work?
