Hello, I am new to these power systems. I am back into bigger planes again,,, 100cc AW 540, servos are 8411's and 8711's.

I am wanting to know will a Jr 1221 Rx work ok with the PowerSystem EQ6. As for the Rx batteries,,, I am a Firm believer that its always best to error on the safe side,,, meaning they will be no less than 5000maH 2C 7.4 lipo's

Hi Bill,
Yes, the JR1221 will work great with the PowerSystem Eq6. as for batteries, for a 100cc plane you really don't need more than two 2100s for about 6-8 flights, two 3000s would give you a ton of flights. Since LiPos have very high discharge rates, the smaller packs offer all the current you need. You just need to size for the number of flights you want. When using Li-ions, since they have much lower discharge ratings, you need to go to the bigger packs.

RR, whats the real difference between the EQ6 and the EQ6 Turbo ?

Hi Bill,
They are identical except for the servo regulator. The standard (or SuperReg) version is good for 7.5 amps continuous current and 15 amp peaks while the Turbo(or TurboReg) version is good for 17.5 amps continuous current and 35 amp peaks.
