Sport plus w/ 35% plane

Sport plus w/ 35% plane
Hi,
I was wondering if i could get away with using the Sport plus with a 35% plane,
My set up is:
Hitec 5945s 4 on wings
jr 8611s on elevators
jr 8611 on rudder

Hi Bob,
You do not say if you want to use the PowerExpander Sport Plus or the PowerSystem Sport Plus. If you are talking the PowerSystem Sport Plus do not recommend it. The current draw would probably pull the regulator below 6.0V best case. Worst case you will overload the regulator and it will fail. If you are talking the PowerExpander Sport Plus you "could" use it but you are not going to get good voltage to the servos because you are going to create a large voltage drop across the connectors on the battery inputs because they are standard R/C connectors and not Deans connectors. Officially both these units are for planes up to 85cc and about 18 pounds. Let me know if you have any other questions.
