Default Super-Reg falling apart

Out flying today and when done I removed my wings (AW Yak w/DA-50r) to find what looks like a capacitor/filter/?. Parts came off my Super Regulator!

Including 2 photos, missing part should be above where "Fly" of Smart-Fly is printed on Super-Reg (photos are crappy - sorry).

It's still regulating my Li-Ion batts down to my setting of 6.0v., and switch still works. What is that 'cap' supposed to do?

What do you want I should do with this Super-Reg.....send it in to you....exchange...???

Hi Jim,
Contact me at Info@Smart-Fly.com with your address and we will get you a new regulator. Most likely you have the screws in the grommets to tight and this is imparting more vibration to the unit than normal.

Would it hurt anything if I put just a small dab of silicon rubber on one edge of that capacitor/filter? To dampen any potential vibrations.

Hi Jim,
No, we are doing something similar. Send me your address and I will send you a replacement. Please send that one back. Thanks
