    14MZ battery charging

There are two ports labeled charge which I assume is to charge two batteries. How can this work as there will be a switch between the batteries and the Smart Fly.

    RE: 14MZ battery charging

    Hi Dean,
The charge ports are used when you use the failsafe switch instead of mechanical switches. When the failsafe switch is used, both batteries are connected directly to the unit, no mechanical switches. The failsafe switch plugs into a special port and turns on/off both batteries. Since you have no mechanical switches in this case, the charge ports are the only way to charge the batteries. When you use mechanical switches you would use the charge port in the switch and the MZ charge ports would not be used. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Robert,
Does the fail safe switch look the same as the HD switch? I cannot seem to find a view of it on your website.

    Hi Dean,
There is a picture of the Pin & Flag failsafe switch by the PowerExpander Pro. We also have a small slider switch, no charge jack, kind of like what normally comes with a radio.
