Default EQ6 transistor temperature

Hello, in the EQ6 manual says that the transistor can reach 175 degrees, this high temperature can get to where the receiver is located? because it could cause failures in the Futaba Fasst.

Thank you very much. Greetings.

Default RE: EQ6 transistor temperature

Hi,
This is the temperature of the heat-sink. It will not affect the operation of the FASST receiver. The heat-sink getting this hot would mean you are pulling 7.5 amps continuously for several minutes. This should not happen under any circumstances any way, but this will not heat up the inside of your plane to the point the receiver will overheat. Your headers are more dangerous than the regulator heat-sink. The receiver should mount as normal on the unit or on a receiver mount. There will be no issues.
