Default Eq6 Turbo and AR9100 Connection

Hello, I recently purchased an EQ6 Turbo and am trying to figure out the best way to attach the Spektrum AR9100 receiver to it. It has two redundant battery connectors and a separate Bind port. Do I use the battery connectors with a splice cable or not use them at all? This is my first time using a power expander and the AR9100 for that matter and I want to make sure I get everything hooked up correctly. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Default RE: Eq6 Turbo and AR9100 Connection

Hi,
We try to discourage using the Power-Safe receivers on our units but it can be done with a little work. I am assuming you cannot excahnge the 9100 for a 9000 at this time? If not this is what you need to do. First you need to solder on two JR female connectors to the two power leads. Next you need to get some extra JR male connectors. You need to take the white signal wire out of each of the end receiver connectors on the Eq6 (channels 1 and 8) and put the white wire in its own JR male connector. You should end up with two male connectors on channels 1 and 8, one with signal only and one with power (red and black) only. To connect the receiver plug channels 1 and 8's power male into the JR female you put on the receiver power leads. Then plug channel 1 and 8's signal connector into the receiver servo channels (most likely Throttle and Aux3). Let me know if you have any questions.
