JR 10X travel volume question

I’m installing an EQ10 in my 35% Yak formerly equipped with two R2000 JR receivers to split the control functions with matchboxes on the ailerons. I use a JR 10X transmitter and my question is what do I set the travel volumes at in the TX before beginning set-up?

I think I read somewhere you set the volumes at max minus some percentage but it’s not mentioned in your instructions.

Thanks Danny

I set them at around 135. Then program your servos. Below is how I do it.

I program the inside wing servo with the transmitter for centering and endpoints. I plug this servo into port one in the eq10. Then I use the eq 10 to match the ganged servo(s) that are plugged into port 2 or 3.

135 sounds logical that would be 150 minus 10%.

Hi Danny,
Tony actually has more experience setting up planes than I do using the Eq10 and other Smart-Fly products so I would use his recommendation. What I always tell people is to always make adjustments using the hi-rates. Where you set your high rates on the travel volume is usually a personal preference.

I split the differance and use 140.

That will work fine. There aren't many absolutes on radio setup.
