Help with Turnigy 180A ESC and Programing Card
So my Turnigy 180A ESC and Turnigy Programing Card showed up today. The user manuals don't seem to make sense together.
The ESC has programing options that have like 4 options, yet the programing card has 3 options.
The ESC will have specific numbers, like timing for example, and the card says low, medium, high.
Basically I want to set the ESC with forward and reverse, LVC at 3.3v/cell, make sure braking is off, and thats about it.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chad
P.S.
It is going into my HK Genesis, so any recommended setting would be nice.

RE: Help with Turnigy 180A ESC and Programing Card
I don't think you have the right programming card. You have to look close on their website to get the right one and it is never in stock. The one for the marine controllers is different and the one for the Turnigy Aquastar marine controllers is yet again different. I ended up setting my 60A marine controller using the beep method on the sheet that came with it. I must of went through the beep sequence 100 times before I got it figured out..... Good luck it's really not that bad I was running in 30 minutes.

RE: Help with Turnigy 180A ESC and Programing Card
I think I will just go by the beeps. I looked through the entire list of Turnigy products and this is the only program card that seems like it should be the one.
The description says "Compatible with all Hobbywing, Thunderpower, Turnigyand OEMRC Sentilon speed controllers."
It may work, but not completely. I am used to programing remote cars starters and alarms via flash sequences with a single button and LED, so I should be able to figure this one out.
Does anyone have any recommended settings?
I think I will pretty much turn everything off, set the cell count for 4, and cut off as close to 3.3v/cell I can get. (so no advanced timing, etc)

So here is a kick in the pants, this program cardhttp://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=7187 says;
"This Turnigy Programming card is compatiblewith the following TURNIGY esc;
"This Turnigy Programming card is compatiblewith the following TURNIGY esc;
Marine
K-Force
EZ-RUN v1 & v2"
I thought it said NOT compatible.
Anyone need a programing card?

RE: Help with Turnigy 180A ESC and Programing Card
Just got the same stuff my self last night , and it's big, I'm having problems fitting it inside my Surge Crusher hull ,hehe.
Anyway, could some pleez explain me the timing options.
I'm running the stock motor , 18/2000 kv, and also I got the typhoon 500 motor from HK. Recomended timing(and why) settings would be great.
