I would have never guessed that it would run that well. Guess you don't need water cool for your ESC/motors?
How fast is that boat on water?

Wow, definitely going to consider taking my boat out in the winter now.
when I saw this i couldn`t get a hold of myself.
Finally a fun way to do mixed vehicle racing,
and in the winter too!

Hi Umi,

That is so cool. I think i might run one of my faster boats in my yard this winter while the pond is frozen!

i just tried this with my blast wit a 15t motor on 7 cells, and it only gets up to about 20 on the water, but in the snow it made it up to about 12. it took a little push to get it going and on my best run it made it about 30-40 ft and was even able to climb a little hill. I cant wait to try it out with the boat i get for christmas

I love the rooster tail! I would try it but I have frozen lakes and green grass. I guess I'll go fly a kite.

hows the motors and esc being cooled? seems like a bad idea in that respect. but neat to watch

I'd guess that the ambient temp is probably 20-30F, so it's probably fine without water cooling. I run my brushless electric airboat in the snow (today in fact) all the time and the motor/esc/battery hardly even get warm.

Well, the boat will be on snow thats around -5 to 10°C. so the hull would keep the boat cool. same works in cold water!!!

Just a question for hasek, do you have the original blast or the newer version?
I'm having quite a lot of trouble with the older blast, also where can i get one of these 15 turns for a fair price?
