I've done 36mph on a prop swap stock power on 4s, and 46 out of the box on 5s, both with a x642.
Here's my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsZmdN6FsIs
* Prior to running I changed the stock bullets and dis-abled the bec and changed some esc setting with the program card. i.e battery to lipo and timing to high.

* First thing to do is check the flex-cable. The only issue this boat had was with the improper direction flex cable on the first run models. Proboat and Horizon did a AMAZING job of getting everyone proper direction flexcables very quickly.

* Second thing I would do is change the stock 3.5mm bullets over to 5.5mm bullets and get rid of the deans connectors. This is a very important step if you run a different prop other then the stock prop. Increases the prop diameter increases amp load and heat and the deans and stock connectors can't take it. Remember this is a RTR so the set it up to run on 4s or 12 cell nimh and the stock prop. Proper steps should be taken when deviating from the stock setup.

*Guys are pushing this boat very VERY hard and it doesn't seem to mind it. This is a GREAT quality rtr boat. Proboat really stepped their game up with this boat. JMO of course.

Kintec verison 2 rudder offset. Get's rid of the bounce. Turing to the left suffers just a little because of it though. Not a neccessary mod.

* I ran stock on 4s/5s for a while. Then Iwent to a Stiletto 1800kv motor with the stock esc for a while. Now I have a CC1800kv outrunner with the stock esc and a grim 42x55 and kintec offset. Running low 40mph and loving every bit of it.

Higher the C rating the better. I run (2) 2s 5000mah 40c lipos. I wouldn't run anything less the 5000mah 20c or 4000 30c. You want your batts to be able to supply a minium of 100amps.
