It depends what you have allready got, the hull was $60 on ebay, its a copy of the d/f 29 and apart from
some epoxy thats all its cost me. The parts and hardware i have just switched straight across from one of
my sv27 hulls.

Took it for its first run today, it all went quite well, realy good cornering, no leeks etc.
The only thing is the top speed was not all that great, it was only reading 40mph on the gps.
I was expecting it to be mid 40s atleast as thats what i was getting with the sv27 hull.
Would this be beacuse the hull is slightly larger? it was running slightly wet so i have adjusted
the strut up a fraction. It has the ul1 6pole 2030 motor, and swordfish esc on 4s.

What size prop? 40 is about right on a carbon prop. Get an M545 SBP & you should get better speed.

Bettter cells like Nano tech may increase your speed too.

I was using a carbon 45mm. so it may be best to start smaller? i have a 40 and a 42 that i can try.

Is the m545 an octura?

A K45mm sounds good but to get more speed you could try a metal prop like the Octura M545, even an M445 will be better than a K45.

How fast do you expect to go?

I would like to get into the high 40s with it realy, i would be happy with that. I will look
into getting one of the octura props that you have mentioned, i did give a 440/3 a go but
that was slower than the k45. plus i would rather just stick to two blade props.

Thanks for your help.

The Octura M545 and M445 are two blade props that would help out over k prop like what was posted above
another to try would be the X645

great use of SV hardware by the way

Nice boat!

Is that a UL1 motor? I would run a $60 4074, 2150kv Tacon motor with an x445 or x447 prop and hold on!

Yes it was a ul-1 motor, it has started making a nasty grinding noise now after todays run, so i guess
thats had it. so am now looking at a new motor so will check the one out you suggested.

soak that motor with some WD40 and see if that helps smooth things out again
it will also help to water proof it

I have taken the motor out and it turns but is realy tight, It was running fine, then it hit some
chop witch made the boat jump and it was when it landed that it happend. I thought at first
that i had lost a blade on the prop.
