Cool new boat and prop shaft leaks what to do ????

just got a motley crew and notice water in the electorics box seems to be coming from the prop shaft

Did you grease the prop shaft ? also you can install a rubber boot over the tube it wont cause too much drag on the shaft and will stop any water.

it was greased when they set it up i ran it 3 times but it was wet the first pass thanks for the idea someone also mentioned heat shrink tube same idea

Take some of your waterproof tape and place it in a crossing pattern towards the front of the copper tube that enters the bottom of the boat. I did this and it eliminated the water getting inside. Its a problem with the silicone seal around this tube
