Already got the hull/hardware?

www.offshoreelectrics.com
www.fightercatracing.com
www.kintecracing.com
www.hobbypartz.com

All the above are based in the US so you get stuff the fastest.

Not in a hurry and want to gamble a bit?

I just have a hull. I need everything at this point,I am just getting into it. I thought it might be fun to speed around the lake with it so I have decided to go the electric route as my helis and airplanes are so I am just adding to tthe collection.
Any help or info. would be great. Thanks for the links.

Do you know how to properly select a power system?

40" hull will take a bit of cash to go fast.

I would order the Vanquish strut and rudder off hobbyking.com for this beast. Basically the same size boat. You will need a big motor for that boat. Castle 1717, Leopard 5692 might also work. Im no expert by any means I just know a big hull = a big motor.

This is my first boat so it's ok if its not the fastest out there,it's an older hull and it needs a little TLC after some years of use. I think it will be a great learning experience for me.

Try these motors in the link or the t600 turnigy ones 880 kv,one should do you on 6 s 1 pack or even two packs for longer runtimes.A customer used two of these on my 58" navaho hull and they really move it well, speeds close to 50 mph now.Ill be using two T 600 motors in my Arrwo hull which is 57" long a single should do your 40" hull.Lots of guys are having sucess with the big outrunners.Ill be using one in my new 40" cigarette hull soon 190- 200 amp hk esc 6 s lipo.

That was a awsome viedo I had no idea they would run like that. I just received all my parts from hobby king, rudder and stinger drive unit and couplerand motor mountall vanquish partsexcept for a shaft and they are back ordered for sometime so they stated in a email to me. I was wondering if I could use another shaft with these parts as I would like to start setting up the hull? Thanks for the nice video and all the help guys.

Not all hulls run like that but, if you work hard at it you can make it work.
