I want to build a boat
I want to build a rc boat from scratch but I don't know where to start or what to use. I need tons of help. If you can help in any way on building it, with engines, or radios; I would really... can't remember word. Any way thanks in advanced.

RE: I want to build a boat
You mention a engine so are you going gas, nitro or maybe you meant electric? Are you building a fast boat or scale?

RE: I want to build a boat
Hi Page master,
I'm also considering making a boat from scratch. My initial thoughts are that it would be electric as I've already got all the equipment i would need from my RC cars.
My first thoughts on construction would be to construct the frame etc from wood, with maybe a vacuum formed outer skin (not sure on that bit yet) or maybe fibreglass.
My main problem is hull design, I want to go for a single hull rather than a cat, but I do want it to go relatively fast, and would be running mostly on an inland lake (not salt).
Principly my main aim is to endup with a boat that is easy to control and stable.
Do you know anywhere to download hull designs?
what kind of rudder would be required? one that has the prop attached, or a seperate prop and rudder?
The kind of boat I'm going for would be some kind of speedboat style rather than a scale chugger.
Thanks in advance for your help
