car electrics to boat?
I was wondering if I can put my castle creations 1600kv brushless engine on a boat. I'm tired of drifting and would like to take my hobby on the water.
Can I also imagine that I can use my onroad 2.4ghz transmitter as well?
Thanks!

Receiver will be fine.
Not sure about the motor. You would need 5cells to get the right rev range but torque and stuff I'm not sure, someone here will....

What size is the motor? 1520 I know comes in that kv. If it is a 1520 that's an awesome motor boating and the sky is the limit. You can easily get away with 4s and that motor and a larger prop. Let us know what size motor it is then we can point you in the direction of what hull will work best.

I forgot, the 1520 was the one I wanted to get
Thanks!

Its way too high Kv to do anything in a boat.
It will get something moving, but not fast.
you will have to be on really low voltage with that high Kv, and you can't really produce any big power on that low voltage.
