Default F1 Tunnel 2011 build.

Hi guys.
been awhile since i last built anything,i returned to the drawing board and designed this 1.
I thought it was about time to reveal my latest creation, been working on it for awhile and now at the point where i feel lets show it off and get some feedback on it.
Based on a more modern design including some of the features to improve the performance of the hull
still not completely finished yet and still got away to go before shes wet.
anyway pic time

Excellent job, excellent talent. How many hours do you have in her? Does anyone have any plans for scratch builds?

Just be carefull not to leave any epoxy where you put the poly or it wont go off ,asuming you used epoxy to glue it together lol.

Hey mart
i use aliphatic resin to glue together it strong, easy to sand or wipe away excess.
Iv just sprayed the hull in primer and the canopy will be ready tomorrow for priming so getting there slowly, just need to leave for a couple days now to fully cure before wetsanding

Heres the vids of maiden voyage. The 1st vid is with 4214 prop but cavitation was the issue. Stepped up to M445 then had issue,i originally thought it was LVC,but after checking batt voltage there was plenty left in. run again and same thing again but the temps on the batts & motor were fine but the caps on esc were hot so think its thermal cutoff kicked in,the cooling is working fine no problems there,so need to figure out away to stop this happening,im thinking cap bank and larger id cooling pipe. what you guys reckon????????? But overall real happy, handles the choppy water turns at near WOT,doesnt dig in and planes on the edge while being stable, till you go into the oncoming wind then have to back off a little but moving batts forward on widy days can be done easily. Windy conditions certainly made it fun LOL

Hi guys
Managed to run the F1 on 5s,what a barrel of laughs LOL
But iv got a couple of issues to iron out,the main 1 when its up on plane and starts hitting some speed its drifting to the left and im having to put on alot of opposite to try and correct it.makes driving it fun for sure the other is the porpoising.Any way heres the vids see what you think.
oh and a pic of GPS reading
not bad considering the issues made it almost impossible hit full throttle

Looks great fun on the vid ,

I had a similar problem with porpoising with my cat when i went from 5s to 8s the only way i could sort it was to go higher RPM and a smaller prop . the drifting to the left may be torque related this will also be reduced by running a smaller prop

A leopard 4074 - 2000kv can run up to 6s at 120amps its worth putting a smaller prop and trying it on 6s , it worked well for me .
