UL-1 will not plane
I'm new to electrics. I race gas in NAMBA but need alittle quiet time. I have a UL-1 running the stock prop,2-2s-5000 40c packs. How far down should the center of the prop be in relation to the bottom of the transom?
thank you,

My brother and I both put our strut almost all the way down, almost level with the strut bracket, punch the throttle and they really go. 45 mph with GPS.

RE: UL-1 will not plane
Don't have a UL but my spec hydro needs a little "bounce" to help it get on plane. Have to goose the throttle let off then hit it again and the boat pops right up.
First time I ran it it did a great submarine imitation on takeoff!
Strut about level with the sponson bottoms is usually a good ballpark area to start with.
Remember lowing the prop will lower the nose, raising the prop will raise the nose. Prop angle down, nose down.
Not sure if it comes with a metal or plastic prop but a metal prop is a worth wile performance upgrade if it's currently plastic.
Check out Kinetec racing under the UL-1 section for some upgrade info.
