Default TRAXXAS SPARTAN - SEPARATE WATER PICKUP FOR ESC AND MOTOR

I HOPE I CAN POST THIS QUESTION CORRECTLY BEING NEW TO ELECTRIC BOATS, SO HERE GOES. IN THE CLASSIFIED ADD, UNDER LEISURE, THEIR IS A SPARTAN BOAT FOR SALE ($350), IT APPEARS TO BE STOCK. IN READING HIS DESCRIPTION, HE MADE MENTIONED THAT HE TEED OFF THE WATER PICKUP SO THE ESC AND MOTOR ARE GETTING COOL FRESH WATER AS OPPOSE TO THE WATER COMING OUT OF THE ESC HOT AND GOING INTO THE MOTOR HOT. HE HAS FURNISHED SEVERAL PICTURES OF WHICH ONCE SHOWS A TEE. QUESTION, CAN YOU SPLIT OFF THE ESC AND MOTOR WITH THEIR ON SEPARATE WATER PICKUP LINE? IS THEIR AN ADVANTAGE TO THIS? IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE COOLER COMPONENTS RUN, THE LONGER THEY LAST AND IN SOME CASES, A SLIGHT INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE. THE REASON WHY I ASKING IS I JUST PURCHASED A MODIFIED SPARTAN WITH A 180A SEAKING ESC AND LEOPARD 4082 2220KV MOTOR RUNNING 11.1V, 5000MAH, 50C BATTERIES. WITH ALL THIS ADDED POWER, WOULD IT BE ADVISABLE TO MAKE THIS CHANGE? BTW, I'VE HAD PRIOR EXPERIENCE BUILDING AND RUNNING NITRO OUTRIGGERSSOME YEARSPAST AT LEG LAKE, SO I DO HAVE SOME BASIC EXPERIENCE.

DON'T BEATUP ON ME TO BAD GUYS, I WANT TO COME OUT THE GATES SMOKIN, NOT CRAWLING

Sure can, the maketplace sells a new rudder with dual water pick ups. You need to get another bulk head fitting for the water line.

http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...-ST-5740R-blue

the T idea, the water is going to flow through the item with the least amount of head pressure, so all the water could be going through one item and not the other

BETWEEN THE TIME I POSTED THIS INQUIRY AND NOW, I HAD ALREADY WENT TO OFFSHORTELECTRICS AND PURCHASED THE DUAL WATER PICKUP RUDDER. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP BUT ON ANOTHER NOTE, I HAD A SHOCK GOING TO LEG LAKE OVER THE WEEKEND. I GUESS GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN YOU CAN JUST DRIVE UP AND RUN YOUR BOAT, NOW LOCKED GATE. ALSO HAD TO PAY TO PARK AND THAT IS WHETHER LEG LAKE OR THE FLYING FIELD - DAMN, GONE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. I LEARN TO FLY AT THAT FIELD BACK IN 75' AND RAN OUTRIGGERS AT THE LAKE IN THE 90'S. FROM WHAT I'M TOLD, THE FLYING FIELD IS NOT OPEN FROM SUNUP TO SUN DOWN 7-DAYS A WEEK. NOW SPECIFIC HOURS TO FLY. ANYHOW, THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE ADVICE AND DIRECTION. - STEVEN CRISS

Yes, Legg Lake had to be more restrictive due to budget cuts - not enough tax payers in that part of LA to pay for its upkeep. Now park users have to pay - unless you are a jogger or dog walker or anything but a model owner.....

BTW, please refrain from using all caps in your posts (unless your CapLock is broken). It is considered shouting and rude....which we know was not your intent.

"PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING CAPS" - WOW. How in the world can using all caps in a sentence or paragraph, of any kind, be considered rude? What has this hobby come to - sensitive issues in how you structure your comments.I didn't use an profanity. Ididn't call out rude names, I simply made a statement. So now you're going to tell me using all "CAPS" is the new sensitive issue. So tell me, how would you have read my statement, out loud. Would you have shouted in your reading - this is simply ridiculous.
