Default Hobby King GT-2 Transmitter/Reciever

Hobby King GT-2

i know this is a very popular transmitter/ reciver, but since there's no info on it on the site, i would like to ask a question,

what is the range of this transmitter/ reciever.?

feel free to estimate if you don't have one or don't know exactly!

here's the link!

Go to the video from the HK page and read the comments. I saw two comments about the poor range (20ft.) others had no complaints. I suppose it's a hit and miss thing with cheap knock off radios. You usually get what you pay for.

Get the gt3c its much better and range is pretty good many use these on gas boats and love them.

You won't even be able to see which way your boat is facing at 1 kilometer.
I still use that GT-2 TX for racing at club level, State title level & National title level. It is over 4 years old & has never let me down. I've got over a dozen boats running off the one Transmitter. Different RX in each boat.
Never had a range problem , & all antennae are inside the boats I guess 300meters would be the furthest I've had the boat away from the drivers stand. Maybe a touch more with some of my scale boats.
But listen to Martin if you want memory chanels for various models.
Cheers.

I use the Turnigy GTX3 from HK and it's great for a cheap radio!
