Default advice please on these boats

ok I looking to buy 2 new boats so me and my son can play I ask this question on another form but no one wanted to help before I found this one., but I really don't know anything about rc boat. looking at the miss gieco 24 and the proboat shock wave 26 , they both have a brushed motor from what I have read brush less and and lipo batterys are the way to go. so what would the cost to upgrade these boats to do this so we can get the speed we want to race. which type is the best for straight line speed and so on. ok looking now at the revolt 30 how is this boat

thanks for the help

Have a look at these hulls from Hobby King, both are better in my opinion. You can also buy them direct from TFL Hobbies who make these. Both are pretty fast as standard.Youll need to add your own esc, lipo and radio gear although i think TFL do a RTR package but youd need to email them.

Yes they do have a website however no online shop, they are mostly suppliers to other companys but if you email them they will sell you what you need.

If you are planning on racing in the states the first two hulls are no good because of the stepped design, illegal in mono classes. They are considered a hydro.
The second one is too big if you are planning on racing any 4s classes, the cut off length is 34" Could be a good 6s class boat but so far nobody has raced that hull, just came available. Could be a great hull could have design problems, no idea until some race reports begin to surface next year.
Many people are having good luck with the Revolt as a P "spec" race boat.
Look into the rules on both the IMPBA and NAMBA site before you decide what to buy if you want to do some organized racing. Gotta get something that will work in one or more classes.
Europe and North America have completely different rules for racing.

No steps on this one mate it just has cutouts at the side so should be legal its also only 33" so should be legal ? i know a friend has raced the stepped one in Aus and we both feel the non stepped version might be the better one for handling anyway. Also the Pursuit hull seems to be popular.
