What boat will this be?
Evening all,
I'm looking for a new boat. What kind you may ask? Good question. A fast boat basically. Under my workbench are a Hotshot Sprint in 3.5cc size, another one that will require a .67 unless I electrify it. Neither is complete but they will be. There is also a catamaran with a .45 in it that needs some hardware to be ready to go. I'll do that one soon. What I am after is a fast boat, almost certainly electric. It needs to look good but not be pimped out. Prefer a tunnel hull or a v-hull. Use will be on ponds. Needs to be no more than about "35 in length. I like wood boats but that seems less likely than a glass hull. It should run in the 25-40 mph range with faster being better. I want it to come RTR or maybe without a radio but with everything else installed. I want one that I won't have to gut and replace the motor, esc and hardware before it will actually go anywhere. It needs to be decent quality. I won't race it but would like to make high speed passes around the pond. And it needs to be under $350. Does such a thing exist? Remember I don't want to have to re-build it or replace everything in it. I want it to run out of the box and with decent maintenance last a long time. So what boat(s) am I after? Thanks for any insight.
