Need Advice
I have a K&B 7.5 powered outrigger that was competitive back (way back) in the day. 68 mph straight away. I would like to convert it to electric. I don' t have a clue about how to set up a conversion. Any suggestions about what motor, speed controller, batteries and where to purchase would be helpful. Do all the electric components need to be water cooled an in a sealed compartment? Thanks, Jay

Hi
What is the size of the main hull also the overall size(total length width etc.)?
What was the power and rpm of the KB 7.5?
What size is the prop shaft.
The main problem is the placement of the battery and it's weight.
The more watts the motor the bigger the battery.
I get all my bits from Hobbyking.
Yes they have brushless water cooled motors, ESC water cooled (speed controllers) and radio control systems.
Can you add a few pictures of the beast.
I had a 24 inch tunnel hull with an OS40FSR about 35 years ago.
I installed a small turn fin on it and over cooked out of the last turn in a race(in front for the first time) and flip it 5 times.
Caught on video 8mm, replaced at a club meeting.
You only win if you first finish!!!!
Check my gallery.
