Default Miss Geico 24 top speed

I have a Miss Geico 24 (proboat) with a 2030 KV Aquacraft brushless motor , Turnigy 120 amp ESC , two 2S 5000 mAh Turnigy 40-50 C lipos , kinetic racing offset rudder , 3/16" flexshaft with a Grimracer 42/55 prop. The boats top speed is 25 mph (GPS) it runs smooth no bouncing and gets on plane fast I just feel it should have better top end speed what do you guys think...

Update I made a strut adjustment and took care of a minor issue with it and picked up 2 mph so 27 mph now guess I'm headed in the right direction , I'll see if I can get any more out of this setup then im going to 6S ...

I think there’s quite a few variables to play with. What is your prop height from the bottom of the hull? Just verify your running 4s (if both batteries were in P then I could see 25 mph) I’ve got a stock BJ24 on 3s and I’m seeing mid 30s (but that’s also off an old iPhone gps app)

Beautiful boat, absolutely love that paint scheme. I have a 26" Blackjack and it clocks 26mph on 3s so yeah it does seem like you should get a little more out of 4s. Have you tried an aluminum/magnesium prop? ... made a 2mph increase on mine.

Batteries are two Turnigy 2S 5000 mAh 50C lipos run in series , so 4S to the motor . I plan on going to 6S but I still think it should be faster on 4S...

Thanks yes I love the Geico theme catamaran boats I have a couple gassers also with the Geico theme , an aeromarine conquest 44 cat and a MTI 60. I haven't tried aluminum props I run the grim racer 42/55 which might not be the best but it's a decent prop for this setup...

I put an aluminum/magnesium prop (with the same specs as the OEM plastic prop) on mine and gained 2mph

I had the same motor in a Geico 24 and it ran 43mph with a 42mm Prop. I sold the boat but I have a short video. It would lift off once in a while but it ran really well. I used a Seaking 90a ESC and 2 2200mah 50c 2s Batteries. The Prop was a VXP V-Cut I believe 1.8P from Ebay. I loved the boat but ended up selling it a while back for another project.

AKA -Sparton Killer / SONIWAKE36 DeepV
Nice boat but you should have gone with the #MISS #GECIO26'' CAT! i CURRENTLY Own a #SONICWAKE 36 Self Right speed boat with a #Dasboata Sonic2 prop, which I can get speed of around 67mph with just a upgraded prop. When I add my #Sonic3prop from Chris Hoffman, I should get speeds up to 75MPH, GIVE OR TAKE...
