Default Converting the Venom Segad 55 Cat to brushless

Hi.
just bought a used Venom Segad 55 Cat gasboat. Im doing a restore build of the boat and a brushless convertion. Anyone done the same thing? Let me know..
The motor will be a 9656 800kv SSS. ESC will be a 320amp watercooled 3-16s Flier. Thinking about 12s - 15s and start with a small prop just for the testing. Am i going to blow everything up :-)
The hull has been repainted and the buttom has got an extra layer of fiberglas to give higher strenght.

With that much power, you might dynamite the motor with a small prop. I know electric motors are supposed to be able to handle high RPM but, just like anything else, they do have limits. You might want to initially run a prop similar in size to what was used with the gas engine, just to play it safe. Going larger and smaller after that would work for fine tuning the boat's performance to what you want

The engine specs says maximum 50k rpm and handles up to 60V with a current of 200amp. So i think i will go with 12s and see how it goes.. if its fast enough i wont go higher 😅
the old gas engine had a max rpm of about 16000. With 12s i will be 35520 rpm. Thinks thats enough.....
