Question Idea for EDF powered fast electric

Hi to all on RCU, very first post here... So I want to build an EDF powered boat, the hull will be a 3-foot shallow-v made from GRP/fibreglass and basically I just need some tips on what type of EDF to get and how many cells, what MAh ratings, the usual things. Haven't attached any pics as I can't yet... Any help greatly appreciated.

What kind of speed are you looking for? EDFs produce limited thrust compared to an air prop, and vee hulls have a lot of drag. Depending on the speed you want, a 90 mm fan on 6S to 8S would be a place to start. Minimum 5000 mAh packs and 150 amp ESC. Adding lifting strakes to the hull will help to lift it out of the water, reducing drag and increasing speed. Low weight is your friend. Good luck!
