Default Cen Aqua Jet Extreme Video

Here is my AJE on 16 cells

http://www.akuniverse.com/AJE.wmv

As you can see by my driving skills I am a a noob at boats, but I still had alot of fun. I highly suggest this boat to any one looking to get into fast electric boats, it is pretty much unbeatable in price for the speed you get.

Thanks to Alex for making the video.

HAHA, actually I did flip it twice on the choppy area. But it wasn't while my friend was video taping[:@]. It was hauling so fast it flew above the water, and when it landed on a small wave it did a backflip[X(][8D][&:][:@][]

Great video. I converted a nitro over to an extreme with brush, motor and esc cooling. I ran 18 cells with the 40mm nitro prop and does it scream. I flipped it, along with you in choppy water and it took 2 days to completely dry everything off. I would suggest that running 16 cells is about as much and fast as you can go, because it is real hard to control and pushing the boat that hard could lead to other expensive issues.

Nice video! Very fast AJ...but not the best handling boat I've ever seen. That thing needs some turn fins bigtime. The flattish V hull of an AJ likes to skip it's turns instead of carving them.

If you are getting into boats, you need a charger that will charge at least up to 16 cells. I have to Duratrax Ice but it only charges up to 10 cells. I run two 8 cell packs in my Aquajet Extreme so I have to charge the packs one at a time. And that sucks. But it also does LiPo batteries and has many many functions.
Here are the ones I recommend and wish I would have bought.
1. Graupner Ultramat 25.
1 to 25 cells charge at up to 5 amps. But does not do LiPos. $150.00

2. Graupner Ultra Duo Plus 30.
1 to 30 cells and charges at up to 5 amps. It also will do up to 10 LiPo cells. $199.00

You can find these chargers at www.hobby-lobby.com

All of these chargers need a 12V DC power supply. I bought a 12V 20amp continuos power supply at Radio Shack for $99.00

You will not find a real good charger that plugs into the wall. Not that I know of.
