Default Micro Iceberg setup help

Need some help with the setup to my iceberg.

Im gone run with this bl motor.
Model:B2045-8T
Voltage Range: 11.1V
No Load Current(A):1.4
Kv(Rpm/V):3745
Dimension:Φ28×45
Weight(g):135g
Shaft diameter:Φ3.175 mm
Max Efficiency:83%
Max Efficiency Current(A):28
Max Load Current (A/60S):38
Max Power:270 W/60S
Resistance: 0.027 Ω

Im thinking of running with 3cell 3400mAh Li-Po, does that sound good? Or do you think 2cell is bether?

Is a 40A ESC enough?

What prop size?

2 x 2s1p 2200 packs in parallel on a decent 70amp water cooled esc would let you run about a 30mm prop and go decently fast. the esc can be found on fleabay, motor you have chosen is good.

Why 2x 2s1p 2200 in parallel instead of 2x 3s1p 1700 parallel? the 3s got more V and will lower the A a little. So i think the runningtime and weight would be about the same. Or do you know something i dont?

more voltage on a high KV motor will certainly not lower your average running amperage, it will make it run more current. to get the effects of lower amperage draw you need a HV setup, like a 1000kv motor on 8s worth of lipos. Check unitedhobbies for a good motor/esc combo, there zippy lipos are not bad.

Id buy the ebay pulsar watercooled 100 amp, this way when you get a bigger fe boat you have a good esc on hand.

I think the boat is a bit small for a 100A...it will be heavy with 4400mah and that esc, but thats just my own opinion.

the esc adds a few grams to the boat, you can get 2200mah 2s lipos that are fairly small. you could use A123 cells for big bang and low weight. or use some good IB1400 2/3a cells.

Try 2S2P 3600 two 1800mah lipos in parrallel to keep the weight down a bit, then a 50A should do it but 70A would be better insurance

I dont know where in sweden you live but at home we got ice, thick enough to drive snowmobile on, and the car ice ways usualy (instead of ferry) opens in jan/feb some time.
The ice usualy starts to melt in about april/may, but the water usualy not rice to a good high for about middle > end of may.

But i can drive the boat here down at halmstad (where i study) bot i got no boat here if its hapening something.
