RE: New Boater and Boat
Riggers are only designed to turn one direction, so they only have it on one side. An attempt to turn it the wrong direction and it won't turn out real good.

The closest boat that fits your needs is the Aquacraft Super Vee. But thats about $80.00 over your budget. You will not find a boat that goes between 30 and 40mph for $200.00 very easily. I just sold my Aquajet Extreme for $235.00 shipped. It was used but in like new condition. I guess the best thing for you to do is watch the ads in this forum and keep an eye on ebay as well. Alot of guys are selling thier summer stuff to get ready for their winter sports.

Wich boat are you talking about? Most boats you see on www.offshoreelectrics.com you can buy from that site. If you are talking about the one at the top of the page then I believe that is the ToysPort Syncron. Go to offshore's site and click on the "Electric Custom Boats" link on the top left and scroll a little more than half the way down and there it is.

If you want reellyy want a boat that will turn good both ways, can you just put a turn fin on the other side of the rigger along with the origional one. I dont know if it will work, but i am just throwing out ideas.
I think you should also look at getting an ECO boat. Look for eco boats on mhzusa.com. there is one called an eco flea. The hull and hardware is less than 100$ and putting in a small brushless, esc, radio system, etc will probably cost more than your limit, but which boat so far hasent?? Another good thing is that their design makes them flip upright if you hit a wave too hard and flip it, so "technically" it can handle any waves you are willing to use them in.

I am speaking about "new boater" not considering the gecko. I like the boat and think it is a great first fast electric. By the way, have you ever run the eco flea. I am considering building one with a feiago 380 brushless and would like to know more about the boat.

Hi Tekajo,
Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but did you ever build the Eco Flea.
I am acutally going to build that boat myself with the same motor you suggested and would appreciate any tips.
Thanks a lot
Jan
