I have been told that 37.2 is faster than it was as nitro. I can't validate that, because I've never seen it run as a nitro.

Don't get me wrong you are def on the right track with your conversion. 38mph for a heavy layup 32" hydro is nothing to cry about.

I was thinking about doing an electric conversion on a Llumar boat ( same as miss bud) but when I noticed the Vegas boat has a wider hatch ( more room to build in) is there any other differances in the weight or anything else that would favour one boat over the other ??

Vegas has much more room than Llumar/Bud.
Llumar/Bud is lighter
Same motor, Same ESC, Same Prop, Similar 12cell batts, Llumar/Bud is 9mph faster.

*Both can take a beating pretty good.

There were 3 of them sunbathing just feet from where the crash happened before I put the bud in the water. They dove in when we started. (Dirty & I).

Whoa! I just finished ressurecting a craigslist miss bud and have yet to take her out, I hope its not that fast with the nitro! I had considered converting it to FE with an aveox 36/24 ihave cause my local lake doesnt allow nitro.[&o]That boat cooks with that electric setup! Nice work!!!!! turtle shell seemed a little too hard.... i will have to run mine where they have soft shelled turtles only.....

nice!

Diegoboy,

So that's a Pro Boat 1/12 hull? I would love to do a project like that. Where did you get the hull, do you have a part #? Did it come with the decals? Thanks,

Chris

The first two vids were from this Sunday , running on a 9XL , SV-27 Speed controller and 4S LiPos with a standard SV-27 prop. It GPS'd at just under 45MPH ( probably running with the wind ! )[X(] Running temps on all components could be described as warm to the touch.

The other 3 vids were from last year, SV-27 motor, speed controller and prop running on 14 cells. Clocked at around 38 MPH.

Its fairly stable at those speeds,,,,untill the wind gets under it ! Its my favorite mod I've done to date

When I ran 2 7 cell packs in series, 1 went up front , in the nose ( drivers cockpit) and the other was velcro'ed on to the radio box lid, now with only 1 4S Lipo , it sits on the radio box lid, held on with velcro.
