i had a smaller boat withg a similar setup...it should take the current fine. by the look of it, it has a receiver board that controls the steering by leaving one motor on and the other off, it has no speed control, so its either on or off for the motor, speedwise...

that thing have a 12 cell batt pack??

knowing these types of setups, it wont last too long, maybe a few months even if proper maintanance and running procediers are taken. these setups have been known to overheat or just stop working for no reason at all.....heck, i had the same setup and i damaged the hull, droped the motors, and it basically looked like a frankenboat after a month, but it ran with no problems...then when i was checking the radio box for water, it just stopped working....still dont know why...i trashed all the electronics and have the bear hull sitting in my room, waiting for when i get enough cash to set it up with an outboard...

There is a guy that took one of these boats and put a single 700 drive in it and make it wicked fast

Oh Sweet mutha of Mercy!
They replaced the Twin 380's with 540's!

Be happy with the Boat Stock as there is no modding it without costing a small fortune...

Aircooling System means it has a Heat jacket over the top of the motors. like a real skinny heatsink.. its Highly ineffective..

That Battery is HUGE!
They do perform rather well stock.. Just dont expect it to be fantastic.. I have the Type 3-80 motor Version and it goes really well but Since it is a Toy boat.. when it dies.. its gonna die with no resurection

That Boat Should Run on a 4200mah 6 cell and still go really well...

You would need to either get

another ESC and reciever to control the 2nd motor wiring up backwards to the first

Or Buy a V-Tail Mixer to some How Get the Motors to Turn off some how???

"I like to move it, move it!!" i like the music in the vid

yes, that boat should hande the tide to problem....wave jumping is cool too....

yeah, stick a 700 motor and a rudder in it...it will perform better and it will turn better and you will be able to 'control' the speed and not just have it on or off

it is a nice boat. mine was slow. i like the hull design, thats why i bought it. I have removed the two props, and replaced them with 1 jet drive. not finished yet. i have installed a mega motor with a barracuda 80 esc. this is a major mod, and very costly. i will try to post picks, if anyone is interested. the jet drive can be used with a gas motor, but for now, the mega motor will do. i had to install a new futaba 6 channel radio, as i will be putting on adj. trim tabs, and a water firing cannon. the wife says i am crazy, she may be correct. wayne

LOOK under hobby lobby. the brand name is graupner. the jet drives are not too costly, depends on your idea. the best things about jet drives are, there is no rudder to break off, and no prop in the water to damage. you can run in shallow water, or on dry land, by accident with out damage. the jet drive needs a powerful motor to make it work good. some of them have a water pick up tube. hook up a fuel line to this, and run it to a brass tube around your motor for cooling. the water pick up works at low speed, because it is fed by the pressure from the compression of the jet. if you put two 850's on two jet drives, there will not be a faster boat near you. you may want one with a thrust rev. i find it very useful. any thing else , please feel free to email me, thanks wayne
